As Europe burns, Spain displays an interesting international Garden Festival, with twelve gardens dedicated to discussing the subject of how we can look at Climate Change differently. This is not as as something simply depressing, but it seeks to see the situation as one which is an ‘opportunity for the garden’. It is, in urgent circumstances, the garden’s chance to shine.

Entitled ‘cambio climàtico, unha oportunidade para o xardin’ this Galician endeavour comes as a Spring to Autumn accompaniment to, perhaps, the Chelsea Flower Show, which also sought to chime in with our frantic needs. Going with some friends, we were supposed to decide between 12 gardens, all equally astounding, but when I got home I realised I’d only seen eight… Maybe next year I’ll choose my favourite if I am lucky, as it happens annually. This one ends in October. Hurry along!
